Public transport

The IRCA manages the operation of public transport in rural areas by aircraft, ferries, and public buses. IRCA works on a comprehensive review of public transport and an analysis on how people use it. IRCA’s goal is for the Icelandic transport system to form one whole, irrespective of mode of transport, and serve both inhabitants and industry in the best manner possible.
